Arthur was a great friend of mine for 25 years and member of my Subway Group. Early on, he gave my wife and I a couple of love seats that he and Katherine were replacing as, being newly married Kris and I did not have much more than each other, art, and a dream. His work toured Europe with the National Gallery.

Arthur Horsfall was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, he studied at the Winnipeg School of Art with L.L. Fitzgerald and Joe Plaskett, and he also participated in summer workshops with Kenneth Lochhead and Roy Kiyooka. He was a commercial catalogue illustrator and used his experience as a commercial artist to depict buildings and street scenes. Arthur Horsfall RCA was a member of the 1970s Subway Group (of Artists) in Winnipeg.
